Description
This course introduces students to Latin dance techniques and styles (merengue, bachata, salsa, cha-cha, cumbia). No prior dance experience is needed. Students will learn basic skills, terminology, and performance expressiveness in Latin dance forms individually, with a partner, and in a group setting. An overview of the history of Latin dance forms is including in the course. This course is repeatable one time for a maximum of six hours that may be applied to the associates degree.
