Description

This course introduces the students to the role of the Medical Assistant in the clinical area of the medical clinic, hospital or laboratory. Topics include brief review of medical terminology and anatomy, therapeutic communication, infection control, physical examination, patient coaching, nutrition, vital signs, ECG medical emergencies and assisting with minor surgical procedures.
