Description
This course introduces students to contemporary dance techniques and styles. No prior dance experience is needed. Students will learn basic movement skills, terminology, and performance expressiveness in contemporary dance styles. An overview of major innovators is included in the course covering the evolution of contemporary dance from the early modern dance pioneers and up through the contemporary choreographers working today. This course is repeatable one time for a maximum of six hours that may be applied to the associates degree.
